A collaboration between chef Kris Malcolm and events designer Emma Mason, Luxe is a boutique events company, a creative outlet and a culmination of all the things they love - beautiful objects, chic celebrations, seasonal produce and interesting, delicious dishes. 



Emma, who’s a Mangawhai local, her family has farmed in the area since the 60’s, is the logistics wizard, front of house and stylish part of Luxe. She’s spent the last decade immersed in the hospitality and event industry, working large events, mainly weddings, from Eagles Nest in Russell to Mudbrick on Waiheke Island.


Kris who is originally from Palmerston North has been cooking for over twenty years and has spent time in kitchens in both New Zealand and Australia, notably working under Manu Feildel and Raymond Capaldi.   He has also owned his own eateries and prides himself on being the host with the most who can cook, work a floor, make a flat white and run the till. 



They pride themselves on every Luxe event being bespoke, with menus designed around a client’s needs and seasonal availability with everything made in the Luxe kitchens. The delicious tasting grazing platters are perfect for summer or winter drinks gatherings, there are three-five course options for dinner parties and if it’s the full wedding experience you’re after Luxe can manage the entire event from superb food, to finding locations and dressing them for the day, to ordering the perfect cutlery and organizing accommodation.  There is also the option to just hire bar and wait staff, pulling from their collection of hospitality experts accrued over the years.


‘The bigger and prettier the event the better,’ says Emma ‘And I’m always watching trends. People especially want gorgeous weddings, big or small and we want to give them that. I do love a good wedding!'
